Dwight Community Outreach
Dwight is dedicated to helping others in the communities in which Dwight's employees work and live by providing support to various charitable organizations, educational institutions, and the arts. The company established the Dwight Charitable Giving Committee as a means of administering charitable giving on behalf of the firm and its employees.
Each year, Dwight provides grants to specific organizations that seek to improve access to opportunities for community members of all ages so they can lead healthy and rewarding lives. Targeted areas for giving have initially been to the following:
- Children and Families
- Aging and Wellness
- Historical and Land Preservation
Organizations and/or specific programs are selected by the Dwight Charitable Giving Committee based upon the program or the organization's ability to reach members of the community in need and the ability of the organization or program to demonstrate cost-effectiveness.

The Dwight Sharks Take the Plunge!
In addition, Dwight encourages active employee participation, volunteerism, and philanthropy in the charitable organizations of their choice.
For example, in February 2008, a group of Dwight employees participated in the "Penguin Plunge" event to raise money for the Vermont Special Olympics. With the support of friends and family and some creative in-house fundraising events, "The Great Dwight Sharks" raised $11,935 dollars for the non-profit organization and "plunged" into the icy waters of Lake Champlain!
