Total Return Fixed Income Asset Management:
The investment process at Dwight centers on the "spread" sectors of the fixed income market. Dwight seeks to achieve the majority of excess returns over relevant benchmarks through security selection and sector rotation techniques. Dwight utilizes duration and yield curve strategies as additional tools to add value.
Insurance Asset Management:
Dwight's team of Portfolio Managers and Quantitative Analysts begins the insurance investment process with a review of each client's business, taking into consideration the liability profile, operating requirements, legal, tax, and regulatory constraints.
Liability Driven Investing (LDI):
Dwight's LDI strategy aligns with the unique liability structure of our clients' plans. We begin the process by analyzing a Plan's projected liabilities and return assumptions. We then match assets to the term structure of the liabilities. We align yield curve exposure with the goal of minimizing the volatility of the funding status. In addition, we position the portfolio to meet short-term liquidity needs.
Stable Value Asset Management:
The Client Portfolio Management Team meets weekly as a group to discuss strategies and tactical decisions for each stable value client portfolio. The Client Portfolio Management Team oversees the allocations to various fund strategies and insurance "wrap" agreements through their knowledge of individual client objectives, guidelines, and cash flow.
